At LifeJourney Church, we believe that the family is the key to children and youth’s spiritual growth. We want to partner with our diverse families as they take the lead in our next generation’s faith journey. Our primary role is to nurture our children and equip our families with knowledge and capabilities as they prepare their children to become disciples of Jesus. We have three goals for our families, youth, and children.

May our families’ relationship with God and their neighbors ever be growing deeper (Matthew 22:36-40).
May our families actively engage with and be known for their love for the entire spectrum of their neighbors, from those living within their homes, to those living across the world (Mark 12:31; Deuteronomy 10:19; John 13:35).
May our families be active participants in the transformation within themselves, as well as that of this world and the rest of humanity, into the Kingdom of God (Acts1:8; John 16:13; Proverbs 27:17).

We focus on equipping our families because they have the greatest opportunity for impacting their children. After accounting for school and sleep and other activities the average family has about 3000 hours of quality time a year with their children. The scriptures encourage us to leverage this time by talking about the things of God with our children when we get up, when we travel, and when we lie down (Deut. 6:6-9).  At LifeJourney we start the conversation and then equip families to continue the conversation throughout the week.  We work in partnership with our parents to combine their 3k hours of influence with our 40.

We offer the following programs for you and your children:

Sunday Morning

Nursery (Newborn to PreK):

We offer care for infants and toddlers during both Sunday morning services. Your cell phone number, provided during sign in, will be used as a pager if the nursery workers need to reach you during the service. The nursery also has a nursing room with a live video feed from the sanctuary. The Nursery is located just inside the Main Entrance to the right.

Main Street Station (PreK through Grade 5):

Children in Preschool (who are no longer in diapers) through those in the 5th grade learn and play together at Main Street Station–the secured children’s area. Children are welcomed into age specific small groups where they spend a few minutes getting to know their group before moving into our large group time.

During the large group time, our storytellers present the narrative of the scriptures in chronological order, covering the entire Bible every three years. We celebrate with music and worship before returning to small groups.

Small groups spend the remaining time on discussion and activities related to the story.  The weekly handouts have activities for the whole family to try at home!”

The check-in kiosks and Main Street Station are located just inside the main entrance to the right. First-time visitors, you may pre-register your child here or you may simply arrive a few minutes early to complete the registration on Sunday morning.

Teen Life (Grades 6-8):

Our middle school youth meet in the Loft during the second service.  They discuss the same stories covered on Main Street, but the message is adapted for their age group.  This is a safe space where youth are welcome to talk about whatever is on their minds without feeling judged.  There are videos, games, movies, great conversation, and of course snacks!

Teen Life: After Hours (Grades 9-12):

We want our youth to integrate with the church before they are too old for our youth programs. Many young adults leave the church after turning 18 because they do not have any connection with the larger church body. This is why our High School youth are encouraged to participate in worship or service opportunities with the adults. Youth that are not ready for this are welcome to join the 6th-8th grade youth on Sunday mornings. We have a youth group that is designed just for high school youth that meets in the Loft from 6:30-8pm every Sunday evening.

Special Events

LifeJourney Church offers frequent special events to supplement regular programming for all ages.

We offer events like Summer Camp, Mission Trips, Vacation Bible School, Picnics, Movie Nights, Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunts, Children’s Choir, Spring & Fall Festivals, and Christmas & Easter Programming.

Teen Life groups have quarterly programs like lock-ins, bonfires, scavenger hunts and more. There is always something to do to keep families and kids of all ages engaged and having fun!

Youth Sunday (Once Per Quarter):

Youth Sunday happens whenever there is a 5th Sunday in the month (usually once per quarter). On this special Sunday, we offer a shared worship experience for the entire family! This is a great opportunity for families to worship together, rather than apart from one another.

Youth of all ages participate in the life of the church on these special Sundays through Scripture reading, singing, prayer, preaching, and more. A special children’s moment gives the children a chance to hear the message on their level. Quiet crafts and activities are provided for the children to work on during the sermon. Additional crafts and activities are set up in the LifeJourney Cafe, with a live video feed of the sermon, for families that may want a more relaxed atmosphere.
