What is LifeJourney Church doing?
At LifeJourney, our highest value is to love one another. That’s what Jesus commanded. He said, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12. The Greek word used in that Bible verse is agape. Agape means sacrificial love. Jesus calls us to do what’s right for one another even when it’s hard.
In that spirit, we’ve made some hard decisions. For the well-being of our entire congregation, and our city, we have made the following COVID-related adjustments.
Why are we doing this?
We are making these temporary COVID-related changes because of agape (sacrificial love) – and in conformity with CDC recommendations. Some of us could get COVID-19 and experience only mild illness, but for others it can lead to chronic illness or even death. We believe it’s important to make some sacrifices to keep our congregation safe and to do our part to help fight the coronavirus epidemic.
Remember, this is temporary. We plan to resume normal operations once the Board of Directors feels it is the right time. What a celebration that will be! Until then, let’s all do our best to stay connected through the options described above.

March 13, 2020 at 6:21 pmThank you. We really appreciate your responsive and caring leadership regarding this. We had already planned to watch sermons online as we are both more vulnerable than the general population. We are praying regarding this societal challenge and for the well-being of all.
