This Sunday we’ll wrap up our sermon series on heaven by tackling the ultimate question: Who gets in? We’ll do a deep dive into what the Bible says. You might be surprised. Jesus had some pretty interesting things to say. If you’ve ever wondered, “What happens to good people who don’t know Jesus?” – this sermon is for you.

August 30, 2020 at 5:04 pm“Thanks for raising these vital questions. Here are my thoughts. I believe, as the Bible says, “We are saved by grace through faith.” Ephesians 2:8. Yes, we all mess up. That’s why we need grace. We don’t have to be perfect or anywhere near perfect to enter heaven. When Jesus said that many who have called him Lord won’t make it into heaven, it’s not because those people weren’t perfect. It’s because their faith wasn’t genuine; it didn’t affect their heart. Genuine faith in Christ doesn’t make us perfect, but it should run deep enough to begin a process of growth and change within us. As II Corinthians 5:17 says, “Whatever is born of Christ is a new creation. Old things pass away; all things become new.” Hope this helps.
